KINGS COUNTY ALL STAR SCHOLARSHIPS INCREASED!

A recent change in the Brazil Memorial Scholarship for Kings County All Stars has increased the amount of the scholarship to $1,500. The number of scholarships each year will be determined by the balance of the fund and if there are more All Stars graduating from high school that year than available funding, a selection process will be used based on demonstrated leadership in the Kings County 4-H program and grade point average in high school.

The scholarship will be paid when the student enrolls for his or her second quarter as a full-time student (12 units per quarter or 15 units per semester) at an accredited college, university or trade school in California.

The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years provided the student is enrolled full time as defined above and maintains a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.5.
