The 4-H Treasurer's manual has been revised (July 2008) to reflect the changes in the Section 700 re-issued to reflect the new IRS filing requirements for all non-profit organizations. Major changes in the document include the reminder that staff are not to be signers on 4-H club or unit accounts, and all checking account statements must be sent to county offices. There is a clarification on sales tax and the 4-H program. Finally, due dates to county offices have been changed to September 15th to reflect the new IRS deadlines. Copies of the manual will not be reprinted at this time, however, they will be downloadable from the CA-4-H website by Aug. 15th.
